Hi I'm Ellie.
Ellie Wilsden is a Dorset based artist who plays with humour, text and cut out illustrations. Her passion is to make a difference and to include us in her projects whether it's starting a revolution about 'growing up great', getting us creating or even encouraging us to grow veg.
Experience
Saturday Art School Assistant, Arts University Bournemouth.
(October 2019- March 2020)
This role has given me experience in:
-Working specifically in teaching Fine Art.
-Being an abassador for the Arts University.
-Practising how best to demonstrate using different mediums.
Education Support Worker, Victoria Education Centre.
(October 2018- present)
In this role:
- I Support students in and outside the classroom throughout the school day in a range of subjects and activities.
-Prepare the classroom as directed for lessons, and clear afterwards. -Provide administration support to the Teacher.
-I have established good working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
-I run ‘Create a Story’ workshops every Friday. In these sessions I teach the students how to make their own illustrated picture books.
Relief Library Assistant, BCP Council.
(December 2018-present)
This role has enabled me to gain valuable experience in:
-Providing excellent customer service to members of the public.
-Working with different members of staff depending on which library I am in.
-Time management. I have to remain very organised so that I know what libraries I am at and when.
Skills
I am proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
I am experienced in website design and using Etsy as a platform to sell my artwork.
I am very organised. This is shown through my ability to balance my studies with my part time jobs.
